Redskins put Colt on IR so no magic this season. Fortunately they were smart enough to cut the dwarf from Missouri.

Bummer Colt's on IR but at least he's still with the Skins & gets full pay.
georgeszary, Chase seems to be a decent player/person no reason to say that & if he's not picked up will be on the Skins practice squad.

At least he's still on the team. I'd rather he take the time to recuperate from his injury and come back 100%. I don't know much about what an injured hamstring entails, but it sounds rather painful, especially for a professional athlete.
If I recall Chase was up for the Heisman in '07, same as Colt. So he does have a lot of potential. And from what I hear, he's a good guy. I hope an NFL team out there gives him a shot, he deserves it.

onething i do hve to say about chase,is he is no way 6ft tall. against the jag's the other night he was stood next to campbell who is 6ft 5 and there was no way a 5 inch difference.lol im 5ft 8 and i have freinds who are about 6.5 so i know where my head comes to on there bodies,id say chase isnt much taller than me.So taking that into effect i think he does a great job as QB,where height is a big gain for obvious reasons. im gutted for colt,he looked really good the other nite, showing abit more of what we all know he can do.guess its gonna have to be next season now.

Is colt really injured ? How bad is his injury ? Can he elect to go to another team if he is listed as an IR player ? I am confident that there are at least 4 teams that would love to have Colt.

I am sorry if I offended anyone with my comment about Chase that was meant in jest. That said, however, to suggest that Colt and Chase had comparable college careers or have the same potential because they both were in the finals for a Heisman overlooks the realities of their careers and accomplishments. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and I think the debate ends with how the Skins decided to deal with Daniels. He couldn't even make the practice squad. Anyway, we still have Colt and hopefully he will heal completely and next year we will see him really light things up for the burgundy and gold.

And also remember that Colt and Chase are friends as well as professional colleagues.
I believe Colt is seeing the specialist that fixed his original labrum injury and then determining the next step.
I'm hoping he'll stay in good spirits and keep in touch. This site would be a good place to do that!
(hint, hint)

From what I've read/heard Colt's injury was something he could play through if necessary, but the Redskins think highly enough of him to want to get this corrected now so he'll be back at 100% next year. Although he was placed on IR Colt is still property of the ' Skins, which means that he cannot elect to go to another team. IR means done for the year, it's not an excuse to find another team. Colt has time to heal and still be around the team and learn. All indications are that he has told Zorn he will do anything he can to continue to grow as a QB while being on IR. That's the right way for him to approach this and hopefully next year he will get a shot. My only concern is that Snyder will try to draft McCoy or Bradford or trade for someone which would eliminate any real shot Colt would have in Washington. There are several teams I could see him playing for, but right now he's a Redskin and I'd like to see him make it there and prove the doubters wrong. Best of luck to Colt in getting well and proving his worth next year.

It's tough to see what's happened but Colt's done this year. In the long run, it could help him. Honestly, anymore I don't care if Colt is in Washington or not...my favorite team is where Colt is at so I'm not tied to any other team. And Redskins fans(at least the ones I've come across) absolutely rub me the wrong way...I just want to see Colt get a shot because I know when he does he's gonna succeed.

There's alot of trolls on the Skins MBs. Some are other teams fans trying to cause dissension. Just ignore them.
It is what it is with Colt. Think he'll get a completely different perspective than he would if he were playing and in the long run will make him an even better QB.

If the Skins have a mediocre season and Campbell doesn't produce you can expect Colt to start next year. Coach Zorn wants Colt to be the Franchise QB, but Synder does whatever he wants with the roster. A year on IR may be a good thing so Zorn can keep him around to get him to 100% as well as study the offense. Zorn is a West Coast Offense genius and mainly a QB coach, just like Jones was at Hawaii. It's no coincidence Colt landed where he did and I can see him having a great career in Washington under Coach Zorn.

after watching the giants game the other night, its pretty obvious to me zorn dosnt trust JC to throw the ball,i mean how many run plays when we were chasing the game. throw the d**n thing man,be more aggresive, attack teams. i hope to god zorn sticks with colt and finally gets his chance next season, snyder is colts biggest threat for me. you never know what he has up his sleeve.

Sounds like Colt had a successful surgery. Can't wait to see him hanging with the team again.
