:)Yeah, sounds like the surgery went well.
The fact that Zorn/Snyder kept Colt on IR rather than releasing him and he has gotten the surgery seems to show they are vested in his future. Let's hope his recovery is 100 percent and he is fresh off the block next year proving his worth to the naysayers. He is a great player, just needs time to get his groove on.

Just an update on Colt's surgery. The doctors found that Colt's torn labrums were due to genetics. The bone was too large to where it put pressure on the labrums. They gone ahead and shaved to bone down to relieve the pressure and keep it from happening again. So hopefully there won't be a durability issue.

Does anyone know while Colt is on IR if he still attends the Redskins games?
I happen to be taking a trip to DC very soon and my family up there surprised me with Redskins/Eagles tickets. I was hoping I could try and have Colt sign a mini helmet for me but now I'm thinking because he's rehabbing he might not even be there. Does he still go to their games and watch from the sidelines at all?

Colt was on the sidelines last week. Didn't see him during the KC game. You might consider mailing in the mini helmet. Check with the Redskins.com site.

Thought I saw Colt, along side Jason after the benching, on one of the local sportscasts. Couldn't tell for sure as it was a quick shot.

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess when I go on Monday I'll see what happens.
Btw Liz, I went to the Redskins site but I'm having a hard time finding an address I could mail the helmet to. Is it something I would have to email them about to find out? Or maybe I'm just blind haha.

Curious to see how long it'd take to get it back.

Just an update if anyone cares.
Colt WAS on the sidelines during the Monday night game. I think he briefly went into the locker room after Cooley was injured but he came back out during the 3rd quarter. I tried to get his sig at the end of the game but he couldn't hear us. However one of the security guards let us know the gate number that they players usually come out of after the game so we went to wait there.
Funny enough there were only 3 other people there at the time and the guy waiting right next to me was from Hawaii too and also wanted Colt's autograph. What're the chances? Colt breeds a lot of loyalty I guess.
Well, we wait about 5 minutes and, funny enough, the first person out is Colt Brennan. We yelled to him and told him we were from Hawaii and he came right over. As expected he was extremely nice and humble. He asked about my long flight to DC and thank us for all the support after we told him Hawaii was pulling for him all the way. He just seemed so appreciative of the Hawaii fans and really took some extra time to talk to us. He signed my mini helmet, took a picture with me, gave me a hug and wished me a safe flight. Seriously, it's impossible NOT to like Colt Brennan.
One interesting thing. We asked how his hip was doing and he said he was going to Colorado soon to have one last surgery on it and then rehabbing for a month. I didn't realize he was going to have another surgery but it doesn't sound like a major one at least. I hope he heals up soon and gets back to training. He sounded awfully excited about being 100% for next year. Go Colt!

Cool, Scylene! Thanks for the update. He's been under the radar for a bit. Redskins sure could use him now!

Colt, although you're on IR this season we're still fans of yours and are rooting for you to pull this injury stronger than before and take DC by storm. We wish you a speedy recovery! With that said we got a little teaser while you were in training camp with the Brennan Beats and lots of write ups from various media outlets but us fans are still wanting updates about what you're up to now a days and how your recovery is going?! Do you plan to return to the West Coast or Islands anytime soon? Ever thought of starting a blog like Chris Cooley to update those rooting for you, yours would undoubtedly be 10X more popular! Even if starting a blog isn't your thing maybe starting your Brennan Beats back up would be a start. I'm not sure if you or anyone in your camp keeps up with your site but I thought I'd throw my suggestion out there and maybe it would be taken into consideration Aloha from a former DC Native and here's to a healthy recovery!

Got a glimpse of Colt on Redskins Nation (TV) @ the Make-A-Wish Foundation with the Redskins a couple of days ago.
