The problem is Campbell requires A LOT of time to go through his progressions and that just will not cut it in the NFL. Heck, any decent QB can hit open receivers if given plenty of time.
I suspect we'll see Colt some time before the end of the season once the Redskins are out of the playoffs. If he can impress, teams in need of a 2009 starter will surely notice.

JC sure does take up time and I think he really is beginning to digress. I also think his O-line is getting too much of a bad rap not protecting him more.

[/b] Urghh when I hear this is makes me if they aren't getting ALL the blame then it's the receiver's fault. I've seen this offense perform WELL with Brunell in 2005 and then after Campbell went down last year and Todd Collins saved the day and season. I have yet to see this offense do OK for more than 2-3 games with JC ever since he became the starter in late 2006. I mean you have Santana Moss and Chris Cooley as weapons. Clinton Portis is having his best year as Redskins. Mike Sellers is a beast and all the offense can manage is a lousy 7- 8 points a game. The truth is Jason Campbell is NOT cut out for the WCO no matter how much people hope, wish ,and pray. Colt I believe would THRIVE in this offense and that will bring NEW LIFE and ENERGY to not only the offense, but the WHOLE TEAM and REDSKINS NATION.

I said at the beginning of the season that JC was simply not going to work in this system. We should have started Colt from the first and traded him back to Auburn who obviously needs him. Now instead of losing one season by getting CB5 in and getting used to the NFL we will lose two, this season with JC starting and next when Colt get broken in...very frustrating. Colt is a starter in this league and I think has the ability to be a star...Lets get him in the game!

I don't mean any disrepect to JC, but if the Redskins want to move forward they need to do so with Colt! He outplayed everyone in the preseason and should be playing now. To go 6-2 and now be at 7-7 is a disgrace. It isn't all JC's fault but there isn't any offense. Go Colt!

At this point in the season- the meltdown on the Redskins is more than any one person can fix. IMHO, of course.

Sure, it's more than JC, it's Zorns inability to adjust to the defense and his lack of trust for Jason. He's too tight in his play calling and isn't having fun.

I think Clinton getting banged up certainly didn't help Zorn's play-calling. It had a dominoe effect on the whole team. I don't think people get just how good CP is and how important he is to the Skins. Defenses could tee off when we couldn't run the ball late in the season. And it didn't help the defense either. The defense played exceptionally well considering what people were saying before the season and the problems the D had. But when the O can't move the chains, the D pays the price.

The D was ranked 4th(?) in the league. It's not hard to stop the Offense when you can stack the box and have very little respect for the pass.

With preseason coming up, I'm hoping this offense will now be something to watch with Colt at the helm. Looking forward to air show to start.
